Thank you for taking the time to visit and allowing me the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself, my family and what inspired me to take control of my life.
I am completely unremarkable in that, just like you I’m sure, I want to enjoy the best quality of life I possibly can and provide the same for my family and those around me. I am married to Natalie with 2 lovely daughters, Frances and Laura. I’m happiest having a laugh with my family and friends, enjoying the occasional meal out and having a glass of wine (or 6) watching the rugby, golf, cricket or football. Any excuse really!
So how did I get here?
I grew up in the Camborne area of Cornwall (Far South West of England for our international visitors – or ‘emmets’ as we affectionately call you back home). I was fortunate enough to enjoy a brilliant childhood spent playing sport or chasing around the countryside and beaches with family and friends.
I joined the Royal Air Force way back in 1983, a brave move at the time for a skinny naïve youth who had enjoyed a wonderful but sheltered upbringing in beautiful Cornwall. At the time I can remember thinking that I must be mad ……. what on earth had possessed me to want to leave such an environment and head out into the big bad world? It was probably an unconscious sense of adventure and desire to live life to its fullest (not to mention a decent wage and some new clothes!!)
I spent 22 fantastic years in the RAF enjoying great experiences all over the world and making friends for life along the way. However, age and rickety knees wait for no-one and, with my time in the RAF rapidly coming to an end, I had to make a decision on what to do after life in the Military. Unlike Natalie, who always knew that she wanted to be a Nurse and had been nursing since leaving school, I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do. All I knew was, that in an ideal situation, I wanted the freedom to be able to make my own choices in life, after all for most of my working life I had been told what to do, when to do it and even what to wear when doing it!!
Well I certainly chose a great time to leave the RAF and buy a house – right at the start of a global recession!! It wasn’t long before I was looking for an extra income to try and meet our horrendous mortgage payments. Naturally I looked online for opportunities and was presented with dozens of possibilities none of which looked to be credible or ethical and most of which seemed far too good to be true. I didn’t trust any of them. We continued to struggle on knowing that surely there was more to life than what we were experiencing at that time. I was unhappy in my job and our life revolved around meeting our mortgage payments.
We looked for a change. Natalie was offered a chance to Nurse in Australia and we decided to give it a go – to be honest we couldn’t get on the plane quickly enough!! She had followed me around with my job in the RAF over the years and now it was my turn to follow her (fair’s fair I suppose!). It wasn’t a difficult decision for us considering the area we were going to be living in – the Sunshine Coast!!
On arrival in Australia Natalie quickly settled into a Clinical Nursing role that she loves. I, on the other hand, only managed to secure a job that paid part-time wages for full-time hours – I knew that I wasn’t achieving my full potential. Then I had an amazing stroke of good fortune. Whilst online I stumbled across a great friend and former RAF colleague who, unbeknown to me, was now an extremely successful online business mentor – he hadn’t told me!! What a fantastic opportunity to get a detailed explanation of the business from someone who I respect and trust. He didn’t promise the earth and tell me I could earn millions doing nothing, but he did promise me that if I followed his instructions and put in the required time and effort then I could succeed. In addition to having the utmost confidence in him, I also knew I could rely on him and that he was more than willing to help me succeed online – I was right.
I made a decision. I decided that it was time to invest in myself. A bit like all those years before in Cornwall, I embarked on a new and exciting journey in my life, albeit with a lot less hair and a little more belly!! I have a clear set of goals that I am achieving and, best of all I am not alone. I have a great friend and mentor alongside me and I am part of a very successful team of like-minded people all dedicated to helping and supporting each other.
Although I might not know you personally (yet), and because you are probably here for a good reason (you would not have read this far down my page by accident) I would like to extend that offer of help and support by inviting you to join me.
If You Change Nothing, Then Nothing Will Change.
I would be truly delighted to help you achieve the success and the quality of life that you desire and deserve
